(Tutorial Concept Curtsy – Default SolidWorks Software Help)
In this tutorial we will learn about the basic techniques related to Autodesk Inventor’s Sheet Metal functionality by modelling a Cover.
In creation process of this model we will start our work by creating some basic sketches utilising the constrains and dimensions.
After defining the Sheet Metal Defaults we will use Contour Flange, Cut, Mirror, Face Tool, Fold/Unfold, Flanges at different angle and Corner Seam Tool to complete the model.
Later we will generate the Flat Pattern of the model and examine the Extents of sheet along with Bend Order Annotation.
In the end we will create Drawing Sheet of the model where we will place Folded as well as Flat Pattern of the model along with Bend Notes.
Addition to this after successfully completing the tutorial, all of you can watch more videos on Sheet Metal by us to practice more and learn more…

Chassis for Constant Voltage Transformer through Sheet Metal (SolidWorks 2014 Tutorial)
In this tutorial we would create a model named ‘Chassis for Constant Voltage Transformer’ using sheet metal functionality of SolidWorks in Assembly modelling environment. First of all we would create some basic sketches and create a sheet metal part using Base Flange/Tab, Edge Flange tools then add some vents along with holes using part modelling tools like Cut Extrude, Linear Pattern etc. and later add some text using Wrap Tool. Further place the part in the assembly and create other sides of Chassis to complete the model. In the assembly we would also learn how to use Hems and detailed function of sheet metal tool like modifying profile of Flanges and Hems along with defining the Positions of Flanges to use them smartly.

Pencil (SolidWorks 2014 Tutorial)
In this tutorial we would create a model named Pencil. It is created in part modelling environment of SoldidWorks. We would just create some 2D sketches and use Boss / Cute Extrude Tool and Loft Base/Boss Tool to form a solid. Then would use Split line tools to cut its surface to give separate colours over the model. In the end using the Wrap tool we would emboss some text over its surface.

Bulb Shade (SolidWorks 2014 Tutorial)
In this tutorial we would create a ‘Bulb Shade’. We would start our work with starting a new Part file. Some 2D sketches would be created by applying Line, Circle, Points and Pattern Tool. Then new Planes would be added to create more 2D sketch and then connect all using 3D sketch. Then Surface Tools like Surface Extrude, Surface Loft, and Extend/Trim Tools are to be applied to from initial model shape. Later all the surfaces would be Knitted to form a solid. A revolve feature is to be applied to finish the model in the end. So lots of feature is covered in this tutorial…

Chain-Inventor Studio (Upgraded Design) - Autodesk Inventor 2013
This video displays a setting up of 70 chain links and 3 sprockets along a defined paths in Autodesk Inventor’s Assembly modelling environment. First of all some base sketching afterward some advance pattern, adaptive features and assembly mates are to be applied to set up an animation matching the real world scenario… Later the whole mechanism consisting of required mates are driven by using Inventor Studio functionality of the software……

As all of you know that I have created videos showing how to create a chain animation in Autodesk Inventor in the past and now a days working on SolidWorks and exploring its designing capabilities as well as my learning capacity with the aforesaid software. So I searched and found a popular similar looking animation done with SolidWorks.. I gave away it a try but I think my workstation is not much faster to run the final animation. It was not so smooth… hopefully in future I would be able to run this animation in my own way and make a simplified video so every body can understand when I get time…..
I am adding video transcription here so the people who are watching it may get some help by me in the meanwhile…….
The newly created new animation on chain by us can be watched on following link….

Clamp for Girder (SolidWorks 2017 Tutorial)
Dear Viewers, In this video we will show how to create a clamp of ceiling fan in SolidWorks Software. The clamp of a ceiling fan will be created in context of an assembly by using 'Create New Part' command. We will tell you how to create a 'Lofted Boss/Base' feature with the centre line rail option for making the clamp.

In this tutorial we would learn about the basic techniques of Autodesk inventor by modeling a Link of a chain. In creation process of this model we would learn starting a new part by selecting a specific template, then basic sketching like creating Line, Circles etc. applying sketch constrains and dimensions to create a parametric sketch. Later we would learn about Extrude, Fillet and Mirror tools. Controlling the appearance of the model and lightning setting is also displayed.
